Thank-you packages being sent today! Thanks to anyone who has taken the time to interview me these past few weeks!

Freelancing requires me to constantly be on my feet, not only connecting with new clients but also preparing to tackle whatever is thrown at me.
I’m becoming so good at “wearing many hats”. When I’m not designing for my own clients, I’m restoring images and writing really bad (good) puns for them on PrintCollection. And if I’m not doing that, I’m working on marketing for PrintCollection, or tinkering with HTML/CSS, or working as a photographer taking family photos, engagement photos, portraits—you name it.
This time in my life has been as awesome opportunity to wear many hats, keep the creative juices flowing, and grow because of it.

What a busy couple of months I’ve had! Freelancing, freelancing and mooore freelancing. Learning how to divide up my time and manage my finances. Although its not how I envisioned starting out, I’m getting a lot of really great experience. Learning new skills and putting them to the test. Getting quicker, and better.
Recently I had the opportunity of contributing some creative work to the Advertising Club of Buffalo for their annual Holiday Charity Happy Hour. Its great to collaborate with them, and I’m proud of the finished product! Can’t wait for the event.
The image in this post is a peek at the web teaser I designed. Check out www.advertisingclubofbuffalo.com for more details on the event!

Lately I’ve been coming to the realization that eating the way I have been just isn’t going to cut it. I need to start making it part of my daily routine to eat clean and go to the gym. Being healthy and active will make me happy, so why not design about it! Here’s a speed design from today, relevant to my life. I might just make that part of my every day norm as well, speaking of exercises.

Okay, I’ll admit it…finding a job after graduation is rough! Even after having a solid internship and making a bunch of great connections, its really up to YOU to persevere though the almighty fleet of “sorry we’re not hiring”s and even worse—no replies!
You might think you have the best portfolio or the most tip-top cover letter and resume combo, but what really matters is your attitude. I found myself thinking this was going to be easy, when in reality the only easy thing is finding yourself down in the dumps. But lately I’ve been pushing on. This “cant stop wont stop” attitude seems to be paying off.
Never stop creating, and certainly never stop putting forward your best effort. Through consistency I’ve found myself with two interviews these next two weeks. That’s a start!

Ordered some new business cards today. Awesome deals through Zazzle using coupon codes, they’ll be printed on “indestructible paper” (all for 50% off!) I’m just hoping the printing quality is decent.

In order to receive my BFA in Communication Design I will be participating in a Senior Thesis show titled “Hungry”. Everyone should come check it out, not only to see my work but also to enjoy the loads of other work done by my classmates. Thanks to Genevieve for this graphic.

Also working on printing and photographing more of my work in order to get it on to my site/online portfolio. Here’s a shot of a brochure I designed for All Saints’ in Cambridge, England. Lots of fun creating the vector pattern.

Came up with this new header for my website. Might be the beginning of my entire self-branding process…handwritten and highlighted! I love the look of handmade/handwritten things-gone-digital. Its unique and has loads of character.

Explored a little bit in the industrial waterfront area of Buffalo, NY today. These are just some quick shots I took with my iPhone…The old grain elevators are beautiful and certainly candidates for my senior thesis project this Spring! Lots of cool graffiti down there as well.
